Learning Commons

Welcome to the Cecil Center North Learning Commons! Our centralized services approach places most of your student needs in one location for easy access. Upon entering the Learning Commons you have access to Student Advising, Business Office, Library, ID Cards, Computer Lab and Peer Tutors. Students desiring academic assistance have the opportunity to use our services and facilities to aid and enhance their learning experience. The staff and tutors are committed to academic excellence and individual student achievement. We provide a safe and friendly environment with study rooms, conference rooms, and large social areas available for your needs. We are located in A-112. Remember to visit us to enhance your academic and computer skills while successfully meeting your educational goals.

Computer and Network Access

Our Computer Lab area offers students the following programs: Microsoft Office XP, Internet access, multimedia programs, program languages and a wide variety of computer tutorials in various disciplines. Coming spring 2008 is a MAC lab for those students requiring advanced graphic capabilities. If you desire to use your own laptop computer, the entire Cecil Center has WI FI capability for your personal computer needs.

Student Resources

Our growing collection of books and electronic media are available for check out to assist you in your academic goals or just for the pleasure of the experience. Also available are electronic student handouts on numerous subjects.
